Challenges

From the get-go, it was a challenge to build a platform that would attract users in such a small and tight knit community. The goal was to allow artists and creators to mint without having to have to deal with anything slightly technological and still get a meaningful experience where they could have the flexibility of custom contracts and a website dedicated to its launch.

To achieve the desired outcome, I had to build a custom contract flexible enough where I could introduce changes for each new project. I also had to build an attractive website that would allow users to mint their NFTs but with an intimate experience. Permissionlessness would not bring the results that I wanted to I chose to handle the minting process manually for every collection.

Making it attractive for artists and users to go mint through smolmints has been the easiest part of the process. The community has been very supportive and the project has been a success so far. Biggest issue at the moment is handling promises and branding, iterating, and assure the quality of every new collection.
